Over the past 4 years Rowecord have seen a significant stepped improvement in its health and safety performance. The catalyst for this improvement was the launch of the SMART8 behaviour change programme in 2005.

Rowecord believe that measurement of performance is key to sustaining continuous improvement in all aspects of the business. Through the launch of its SMART8 behaviour auditing programme Rowecord have been able to develop an active monitoring programme which aims at identifying weaknesses in our health and safety system before they develop into incidents.
Rowecord have also launched several themed health and safety campaigns under the umbrella of SMART8. Since the launch of an eye safety awarenss campaign in 2006 Rowecord have seen a 50% reduction in its all injury accident frequency rate.
