No.4 is Blast Furnace No.3

Rowecord are currently undertaking the rebuild of Blast Furnace No.4 for the second time at TATA Steel, Port Talbot.

This will be the third Blast Furnace to be built by Rowecord after successfully installing the No.4 Blast Furnace ahead of schedule in 1992 and No.5 back in 2002.

Work on site began in October 2011 and to date the 45 strong workforce have erected modules 7, 10, 13 and 15 while tiers 1, 2 and 3 of the shell have been assembled and welded.

Rowecord aims to have the furnace complete and up and running by October 2012.
